Our free Newsletter uses double Opt-In procedure. That means, if you submit you email address on GradientDescent, we will send you a confirmation email. Only if you click the link in this mail your email address will be stored. You can withdraw the subscription at any time. Please use this form or click the link provided at the end of all newsletter emails.

Access Data
GeadientDescent and the site provider collect log files about server access. The following data are logged:

- access timestamp
- requested size of data in bytes
- referrer-url

Data is only used for statistical analysis and improvement of the website. Data is automaticly deleted at most one calendar month after site access. Rights are reserved to retain data longer and check if concrete indications for illegal activities appear.

Our website may link to external sites that are not operated by us. Please be aware that we have no control over the content and practices of these sites, and cannot accept responsibility or liability for their respective privacy policies. You are free to refuse our request for your personal information, with the understanding that we may be unable to provide you with some of your desired services.
Your Rights
It is your right to request information free of charge of stored personal data about you. Additionally, you have the right to correct false data entry and to restrict data processing or deletion of personal data. If you have reason to believe that we process your data in an unlawful way, you can file a complaint with the competent Authority.
Deletion of Data
On your request we will delete your data, if there are no legal obligations to keep the records(eg. EU directive on data retention). As soon as stored data is not necessary anymore for our cause and when no legal storage requirement exists, we will delete your personal data. If we cannot delete the data, since it is required by law to keep them, the processing will be restricted. In this case the data will be locked and not processed for other puposes.
Right to Withdrawal
In case the processing is based on an agreement given, the person concerned is entitled to withdraw this agreement anytime. The processing until such withdrawal remains valid though.
